According to Illinois law, employers must have workers compensation insurance to protect their workers. They must also post a complete workers compensation notice with the name and contact information of their carrier in a prominent location in every work site.

You can also search online for an Illinois employer’s worker compensation insurance coverage by clicking on the following link: https://www.ewccv.com/cvs/?ref=https://www2.illinois.gov/

If you suspect that an employer does not have workers comp insurance, contact the Insurance Compliance Division or call the Information Unit at (312) 814-6611 or toll-free within Illinois at (866) 352-3033.

Should you need help determining whether your employer has coverage or need assistance filing a workers compensation claim, feel free to call my office (708) 951-1011.
